Recently, Hong Kong Taekwondo instructors IVAN and Mandy visited Korea with their students for a special trip. This visit continued a decade-long bond between the two countries, with IVAN, Mandy, and other Hong Kong Taekwondo leaders showing their commitment to Taekwondo and their affection for Korea alongside their students.

During their visit, the group joined a Taekwondo tournament, training with Korean peers and preparing together in a spirit of camaraderie and mutual learning. The students gained valuable experience as they immersed themselves in the essence of Korean Taekwondo, refining their skills and building friendships with their Korean counterparts. Beyond the training, they explored Korean culture and enjoyed a memorable journey together.

IVAN and Mandy shared, “Taekwondo is not only about skills but also about growing together in passion and dedication.” They noted that this trip had greatly inspired their students, deepening their love for Taekwondo. Both instructors hope to maintain and strengthen these connections, feeling their passion for Taekwondo deepen with age.

For these Hong Kong Taekwondo practitioners, visiting Korea is more than just a trip; it’s an opportunity to experience Taekwondo in its birthplace, fostering friendships and mutual respect. This visit served to strengthen the Taekwondo community between Hong Kong and Korea, leaving a lasting impact on the Hong Kong practitioners and strengthening their appreciation for Korea.

Looking ahead, IVAN, Mandy, and other Hong Kong Taekwondo leaders plan to continue building bridges between Hong Kong and Korea, nurturing their students with Taekwondo’s true spirit and contributing to the lasting friendship between the two regions.
